What is Solana? | Solana Explained
In this video from Titan's Emily Cherkassky, we go over the Solana blockchain, the second largest NFT ecosystem behind Ethereum.
The Solana blockchain, which is essentially the ledger of all the transactions that happen using Solana has the second largest NFT or non-fungible token ecosystem behind Ethereum. Its growth shows no signs of slowing down. We can't understate how fast the NFT ecosystem under Solana has grown and how it's attracted a lot of non-crypto native users to its ecosystem.
It's the only real alternative to Ethereum right now for people with smaller wallets who are turned off by Ethereum's gas fees, which are the transaction costs that it takes to complete an NFT transaction on Ethereum. On top of the transactional differences between Solana and Ethereum, they've given rise to very different NFT subcultures. Where Ethereum NFT's are focused more on art and brand value, Solana NFT's are more focused on utility tools that can actually aid users on their NFT journey.
