What is Chainlink? | Chainlink Explained | Titan
Chainlink is vital to the success of blockchain technology. In this video from Titan's John De Yonker, learn about Chainlink and its importance.
Chainlink is a decentralized network of oracles. An oracle is a third party information provider that delivers smart contracts with real world data such as price feeds, live weather and many other real time applications. Without oracles like Chainlink, blockchains are frankly like computers without an Internet connection. Therefore, you see Chainlink touching all parts of decentralized technology, whether it be Defi, NFTs, gaming, Web 3 and so on. Chainlink's decentralized network of data providers not only makes it scalable, but it eliminates the chance of a single point failure in the delivery of data. This is a critical requirement for a smart contract platform. The growth of the chain link ecosystem has been quite impressive. It now spans over 1300 partnerships, collaborations and integrations, which is vital for its success as a network.
