When you refer a friend and they make a deposit, you automatically get a yield bonus of 6% that is applied for 3 month periods for each referral (up to 4).

Once the bonus duration expires, you will earn the highest available rate on Titan, which is currently 5.29%* yield before taxes and fees. Smart Cash moves your funds automatically between different Money Market Funds based on rates that are checked daily.

We also offer Smart Transfers – where we can automatically sweep excess cash from your bank account when it rises above your set ideal balance to ensure that you’re not leaving any yield on the table.

Smart Cash is currently utilizing Treasury Money Market Funds (MMFs). Owning treasuries means owning cash equivalents that are often exempt from state and local taxes. Your high yield savings account (HYSA), on the other hand, will be required to pay full state and local taxes. Ouch.

Certain types of these cash equivalents like Treasury MMFs will be better than others depending on your personal tax situation. That’s why Smart Cash uses your State, Income and Filing Status to automatically move your money into the best after-tax yielding option for you.

Yes! Your Smart Cash balance can be used to make other investments in your Titan account. If investments are needed to be funded from money that is currently invested in a Treasury Fund, the investments will execute the day following the sale of the Treasury Fund.
